Thank you for choosing Dulub’s lubricant
product. Before use, please refer to the
following advises which will allows your
lubricant perform to your expectation.
Storage
before use
The lubricant should be stored in a cool
and dry indoor area and its packing
should be kept closed until it is needed
for use. The optimal indoor temperature
should be kept no more than 30°C, and
above 0°C. Do not put the lubricant
directly near a heat source and avoid
exposure to direct sunlight. The
lubricants should be stored in its
original packing, which should not show
any signs of damage like severe denting,
corrosion, or moisture attack.
Cleaning
before opening the container
When opening the lubricant package, do
not let any dust, dirt or moisture enter
it! Even a small amount of dust or
moisture can affect the lubricant
quality. Wipe lid or cover clean before
opening.
Stir
thoroughly before use
It is common that oil separation is seen
after opening the grease. Stir the oil
thoroughly back to grease and it is good
for use. Some high viscosity greases
will not have oil separation and can be
directly used after opening.
Avoid
contamination
Use clean tools and equipment when
handling or pumping the greases. Put lid
or cover on a clean and dust free place.
Solid contaminant à Solid contaminant
such as dust, dirt, and metal powder
will damage the articulation surfaces
being lubricated. Among these, metal
powder is the medium for oxidation and
will accelerate degradation of the
lubricant.
Moisture contaminant à Moisture
contamination can cause emulsification,
softening, and degradation of the
lubricant as well as corrosion of metal
surface.
Other contaminant à Contamination by
gas, liquid may cause deterioration of
the lubricant’s properties and result in
metal corrosion.
Avoid
mixing two different kinds of greases
Mixing of two greases can cause
deterioration of grease property due to
change of thickener’s concentration.
Storage
after use
After use, the packing should be closed
immediately, and stored in cool and dry
indoor area until next use, with all
storage conditions same as point-1.
In principle, the lubricant should be
good for use for at least a period of two
years from manufacturing. Double-check the
lubricant to confirm its quality after two
years. Follow carefully the above preventive
measures for access & storage, and you can
extend your lubricant’s life up to 5 years
without quality deterioration.
